Can’t we all just get along?
The truth of the matter is, NO. Why? Because of things like shame, guilt, judgment, comparison and personal insecurities. Many times it makes people feel better to see and point out others flaws and shortcomings.
Shame, Guilt, Judgment
Well, we are tired off the mom groups that say they are supportive and encouraging when all they really are is a place to feed the beast. What do I mean by that?
Lately, we have given out free resources, shared personal experiences, answered questions, showed support, sent high fives and congratulations in several of these so called “supportive mom groups” only to be bashed by the keyboard warriors. Yes, you read that right!
Keyboard warriors are the ones that have no problem slamming you on the internet but wouldn’t have the guts to address the problem they have with you in person. Are they entitled to their opinion? Of course! However, when I have beef with someone it’s far more constructive to say… “Hey, when you said this or did that it made me feel like…” instead of laying on the judgment and criticism without any helpful feedback!
So, Ladies… if you want to join a group that leaves all that negativity behind ( of if they don’t, they will be removed) then join Honest Mom Talk.
Where women come together to encourage one another, share stories on how they relate and connect with people that you might otherwise not get to connect with!
Connect, Relate and Encourage
